TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES, N.M.—After hearing about his fellow billionaire space aficionados’ BOGO deals to make space tourism available to all, Virgin Galactic boss Richard Branson just upped the ante for them—and lowered the ante for everyone else. A company spokeswoman says Branson has struck a deal with retailing giant Costco to offer a family pack of eight tickets for just $999,999, representing more than half off the regular cost of $250,000 per ticket. She said that the item will be available in time for the holidays and is even eligible for the 2% cashback award for in-store purchases on the Costco credit card. She declared, “With Branson’s brilliant coup, the advantages of buying in bulk have never before been so astronomical.”
